Hey Reader, We have made the decision to step away from ClassPass in the New Year Effective February 2026 We are so grateful for everyone who discovered & fell in love with Strength and Strike Fitness through ClassPass & we are optimistic for the opportunity to continue welcoming you into our studio as a member. WHY WE ARE LEAVING CLASSPASS & WHY YOU MIGHT WANT TO RE-THINK IT. The idea "sounds" great...One App. One Low Price. Many Studios. It feels like you are supporting local small businesses but the reality is it's more complicated. While ClassPass started out as a partnership to help studios fill spots that might otherwise go unused, the platform has changed and its requirements no longer benefit our small business model. Class Pass lists classes at prices below what we can sustainably offer. Every time someone takes that "free" class, we receive $0 return - but ClassPass still profits. We carry the cost of teacher pay, utilities, rent, and everything else so that ClassPass can offer a free trial. THAT is not a partnership. HERE'S THE TRUTH: Studios receive a fraction of their typical pricing. Our memberships and class pricing is designed to honor the quality and integrity, not to mention the value, of that we do. We can't offer our classes for free, or at a quarter of their value - nor should we. On average, a studio receives $7 per class on Class Pass for a drop in that would normally cost $30-40. Meanwhile, costs like rent, payroll, insurance, and more, continue to rise annually. Every class represents the real cost, real time, and real heart behind the work we do. IT'S ABOUT INTEGRITY & COMMUNITY ClassPass is owned by MindBody. MindBody is a company valued at over $1.9 Billion Community has always been at the heart of Strength and Strike Fitness. So, while it may feel like your dollars are supporting small businesses in your neighborhood, most of that money is actually leaving it and going to Vista Equity Partners, who owns MindBody. Big businesses are making bigger profits. Because studios receive so little, they may feel the pressure to pack classes - leading to less 1x1 attention, less familiar faces, and less community. Stepping away from ClassPass allows us to focus on delivering the best class experience possible and deepening the connections that make Strength and Strike Fitness so special. OUR CLASS PRICES AREN'T RANDOM They reflect the cost of running the business. We can offer the best pricing for our classes. With operational costs rising each year, our membership model not only allows us to offer the best pricing to you as a member, but also allows us to project revenue. Behind the convenience of ClassPass is the local small business working harder for less and having to build their business around a private equity owned third party. EXPECTATIONS ARE SKEWED AROUND PRICING & CUSTOMER SERVICE Industry expectations are not sustainable. It has become an expectation in the fitness industry to offer your first class free. Imagine walking into a restaurant and expecting your first meal there to be free. Then, imagine a third party group that gave that restaurant a quarter or less of their price for the same product. It wouldn't exist! Not to mention, we have no control at the studio level of those late cancels, no show fees, and more that you experience on ClassPass. ClassPass users often get upset with us, but our hands are tied because we don't have control over your third-party booking. WHAT'S THE RESOLUTION? Studios don't need shortcuts, they need sustainability. Support your local small businesses. When you get off ClassPass and choose to become a member or purchase a class pack at your local studio, you get stronger, the doors stay open, and the money stays in your local community. The BEST thing YOU can do to support any studio is to book directly with the studio, purchase a membership, purchase a class pack, purchase retail, and refer your friends. We hope that you will want to continue to train with us here at Strength and Strike Fitness! So...for a limited time, and as a “thank you” to make this transition as easy as possible for you, we have put together a special offer for our ClassPass users. If you would like the details on how you can continue training with us by booking directly and benefiting from all we have to offer Click HERE Thank you so much for understanding, for supporting Strength and Strike Fitness, & for your loyalty to our beloved gym! 💪🥊 Coach Rhuben |

Hey Reader, Recovery doesn’t always need tools, gadgets, or complicated protocols. One of the simplest checks you can do is asking yourself this question in the morning: “Do I feel better, worse, or the same as yesterday?” If you consistently feel worse, something needs adjusting. That could be sleep, stress, training volume, or nutrition. Two easy recovery upgrades most people overlook: • Consistent sleep timing (not just total hours)• Hydration earlier in the day (not just at night) You...
